Greetings!

jack 2011 1

Okay, so I know it's been a while.

And we're still around and as excited as ever about providing excellent care and making the experience fun.

And all that fun stuff is big-time important because June is all about weddings and graduations (you notice I left out the part about June gloom.)  We hope your events this month were memorable!

It's like this is the time of year when Molar Jockeys have to work under the pressure of deadlines. No one wants a chipped tooth to go with the perfect wedding dress (not even bruin fans and they're used to suffering. Hahaha.)

Anyway, all kinds of stuff have happened since the last Inner Circle newsletter; summer is approaching fast, and all kinds of cool events are coming up.

This month's ezine we'll talk a little about the annual oral cancer awareness night at the ballpark, courtesy of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and the Rosemary Children's Service gala of the year.

We'll also have a look at what's going on over at USC and why the Dalai Lama visited the campus in May.

We announced our Spring Extravaganza 42 inch HDTV Winner! Congrats Julie Gentile, CPA of Gentile, McCloskey, and Company! See her surprise caught on video in the right column.

And the whole place might have a new look the next time you come in and guess what? You might be seeing us on TV; we've just shot a commercial that will appear on CNN, Lifetime, A&E, and our fav, the Food Channel, (looking good is one thing; eating is life and death, especially if we're talkin' Italian.)

And yeah, Aunt Clara has another birthday comin' up and once you hit 90, I hear it feels like you're blowin' out the candles at least once a week (just kidding Aunt C.)

Annual Evening with Chefs!

Rosemary children logo

So I've just completed my first year as a Board member with Rosemary Children's Services and I couldn't be prouder being part of such an awesome organization comprised of so many amazing committed people!

Pasadena's Rosemary has provided comprehensive assistance for children at risk for over 90 years and the success stories never fail to remind me how fortunate I am. More importantly, the success stories underscore the priceless value of one rescued young life.

We just had yet another successful Annual "An Evening with Chefs" on June 25th at Santa Anita Racetrack. This their 48th with many more years to come!

USC Trojan UPDATES

dalai lama

The Trojans NCAA sanctions appeal failed miserably and it will likely be a while before USC is #1 again (unless we're just talkin Los Angeles.)

In a surprise move, the Dalai Lama became a Trojan, only one day after stiffing the bruins on a scheduled visit. I was able to persuade His Holiness to speak with the Ticket Office on my behalf.

It's Showtime! TCDC on Cable!

food channelBy mid-June, you'll be seeing us on CNN, Lifetime, A&E, and the Food Channel.

Yeah, TCDC is going on TV ASAP PDG FYI (Hey, I just saw "Good Morning Vietnam again.) I even have proof. Here's a preview of our lead-in: click here

Good Changes at TCDC!

DeniseSo you'll be seeing two new faces in the TCDC line-up. Dental Assistant Extraordinaire Dani's sister Denise, has joined our team and will be helping out OM Dalila who returned in mid-April after 3 months of maternity leave. Denise brings some 15 years of experience, enthusiasm, and energy and you'll like her on "Hello." Denise, who is also an all-time great aerobics instructor, worked with a pediatric dental practice and I'm sure they miss her already. Oh, and Denise has a big day coming up on July 10, her wedding day.

mimiWe also have a new dental hygienist,
Mimi Chau
. Mimi was recommended to us by our excellent dental hygienist, Adrien. Mimi also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UC Irvine and loves carbs. If you're here on a Thursday, please say hello to Mimi; I know you're going to like her.

You'll also soon be noticing some office changes. We're converting to digital x-rays to go with new chairs and lights, plus some amazing cutting edge software technology that will enhance your experience as a partner in your own care. And don't be surprised if you notice lots of improvements I haven't mentioned.

 98!! Wow.

  aunt clara

So Aunt Clara is closing in on B-day #98 on July 4th.

Aunt C's made a total recovery from a bad cold that progressed to congestive heart failure back in January; she's back 100% and it's a good thing there are doctors out there who know enough to listen to their patients.

Couple of specialists had proposed some invasive care for my Aunt and wanted me to give the go-ahead. I just told 'em they were talkin to the wrong person; they'd be better off asking their patient.

Aunt C's response: "I feel better; get me outta here and let's try the medication. I'll get back to ya." My aunt's now on 6-month check-ups, just like with me, her dentist.

"As I've come to expect being a patient at Dr. Von Bulow's office over the past 25 years, I was seen right on time and the work was done perfectly!

The staff is always pleasant and they honestly seem glad to see me - even to the point of oohing and aahing over my grandchildren's photos!"

Thank you Christine! We so appreciate you.

Night at the Ballpark!

quakesYikes! Almost forgot; our traditional oral cancer awareness night at the ballpark has been scheduled for Saturday, August 6.
