| Greetings! | |
Happy Holidays...See ya 2010
OMG! I can't believe we' ve almost
seen the last of 2010. But first,
I give you the Holidays.
Don't kn ow about you guys, but when I was a kid it seemed like Christmas and my birthday would never get here. And while school went on forever it seemed like every major fun day on the calendar was always a mile or so away.
And now the Holidays are a blur and it's just birthday-birthday-birthday. When and why did my timeline morph into dog years?
Anyway, our Inner Circle online newsletter will be on hiatus from now until 2011 and we at TCDC wish you all a beautiful Holiday and a healthy, prosperous, joyous 2011.
We really appreciate your support, loyalty, and friendship way more than we could ever express.
You guys rule!

Holiday Open House
|
The Holidays will arrive with all kinds of activities sort of swirling around Rosemary Children's Services (RCS).
I'm really looking forward to reporting back to you about November 29th open house at Rosemary School.
The open house will give the public the chance to learn more about RCS' Non-public and Special Education School specifically designed to meet the needs of students who struggle with emotional disturbance and learning disabilities.
The school and the results produced are inspiring...and a little overwhelming. Please accept my invitation to pay us a visit.

Uh oh, I'm also representing RCS in the TEAM Referral Charity golf tournament and I hope I'm still on the board after the 18 holes of dust settles down.

We did it! We walked for Dani's sister!
| |

TCDC joined the Williams family in honoring Dental Assistant Extraordinaire Dani's sister, Dannell and the City of Hope.
Over 10,000 folks participated in the walk. Dani's group of family and friends totaled 56 and raised more than $1,400.
TCDC will continue offering Colgate sponsored custom home teeth whitening for only $100 with all proceeds going to the City of Hope.

USC Trojan Athletic Director Pat Haden
| |

Couldn't be prouder of my football Trojans and the 100% effort they've given in spite of NCAA sanctions.
Back in October, I was able to sit down with new USC Athletic Director Pat Haden. We managed to iron out some rough spots during these sometimes difficult transitional times.
In the photo below, Haden has just informed me I would be replacing Defensive Coordinator Monte Kiffin.

I've moved over to Mid Valley News!
| |
Okay, so I had an artistic differe nce of opinion with the little people over at Beacon Media News and was offered a lateral move out the door with no pay cut.
And that's what happens when you tell the editor his publication has the scent of el toro doo-doo.
And...bigger and better things were right around the corner. You can now read my stuff weekly in the Mid Valley News and monthly in the Temple City Chamber publication.
And no more freakin' Wally!

A New Face Around TCDC
|
Lisa Butala has joined TCDC and I know you're going to like her. Lisa interned with us during her Registered Dental Assistant training at Citrus Community College so the new face here might be familiar.
Lisa, who will be our Scheduling Coordinator, relates to people on "Hello" and that's great because hers will probably be the first face you see on arrival at TCDC.
She is married and is Mom to her 16 year-old daughter. Lisa's a major tennis-ping pong force and has managed several businesses. Welcome!
Here is Lisa upfront and center on camera. Take a look!

97 Years of Celebrating the Holidays
|
So I asked Aunt Clara if she had any words of wisdom to share on this, her 97th Thanksgiving and Christmas and this is what she had to say:
"I'm always thankful for having good health...and these days, I'm also thankful for Marie Callender's."
Happy Holidays Aunt Clara! We love ya!

Gratitude!

|
If you don't use it. You'll lose it.
|
Just a friendly reminder that y'all who're fortunate enough to have dental insurance plans and/or flex plans have only to the end of 2010 to use your benefits...or lose 'em

| Molar Jockey Memoirs! | a book by Dr.V
Excerpt from chapter...
Ciao and Happy Thanksgiving
"Until that first Sunday, I rarely walked into a restaurant without a date. I just wasn't confident or comfortable enough with myself to pull off such a simple pleasure."
Come on by for your copy of the book! It's actually quite amusing while it's educational!

Dr. V commentary:
Old Town Pasadena's La Fornaretta just happens to be my all-time restaurant and haunt. What really rings true to being grateful this time of year is the fact that the folks there became one of my all-time favorite families. The DiLorenzos remain part of my holiday experience and I still make it up to Sacramento whenever I can to catch up with the friendship and of course, the sugo sauce.
Suzanne Di Lorenzo says:
"I miss Temple City Dental the same way Dr. Jack misses La Fornaretta Sugo Sauce. The staff at Temple City Dental was always very personable and uplifting- even if I confessed to NOT flossing! Dr. Jack has a contagious laugh that echoes through they entire office. Some people may dread going to the dentist, but at Temple City Dental you know you will receive awesome, state of the art treatment and feel like part of the family! Although Jack was generous enough to refer my family to a terrific new dentist when we moved to Northern California, we still miss our friends in Temple City! And unfortunately, Dr. Jack still misses our sugo sauce- and now must live with the fact that USC will not be heading to the Rose Bowl this year! (Poor Jack!)
Thank you Temple City Dental"
