Hey! I took August off online just because I was
totally jealous of all the trips TCDCers were taking while all I could do was
hunt down golf balls that seem to take their own exotic trips.
And what can I say?
September is here and that means I'm probably
gonna have some flashback dental school nightmares. Best treatment is the hair
of the dog that bit ya. And that's why I'm still going to USC football games
even though I ditched my season tickets. There's nothing better than tailgating
on campus...and sneaking into the D-School to leave my nemesis, Doc 'wrath of"
Kahn, a few unflattering notes.
Trojan football and putting some sneaky little weasel demons to rest; that's what
I'm talkin about! Happy September! Fight on!
But I digress.
This month I guess I'll have to go back to
reviewing Trojan Football. I'll even feature a virtual interview I managed with
new USC Coach Lane Kiffin and hapless TC developer wannabe Randy Wang.
We'll
share some about new Inner Circle opportunities and feature our June-August New
Patient Extravaganza 42" flat screen TV winner, upcoming Invisalign news, a
tribute to my awesome dental assistants Dani and Kolleen, some more info about
Rosemary Children's Services, and of course, a few words of wisdom from Aunt
Clara (who paid us a visit in August.)
So school has started, Monday Night Football is
back, and the new TV season is rollin' and our offer remains. If you're in the

Okay, so I tried avoiding eye contact during the
Board meetings and the strategy may work at airports but not in Pasadena.
I was nominated
for the Development Committee chair and actually accepted without a total Board
rebellion.
So here's the thing, I could use your help.
If you have any ideas that would help create
interest, financial support, or volunteers for an excellent organization that's
been an integral component of our community for 90 years, please let me know.
If there's a more comprehensive, solid, dedicated organization out there
looking out for kids at risk, I haven't seen it.

Trojan Corner is back!

 So this year TCDC may not be quite so decked-out
as in the recent football past.
The USC shrine still stands and the upside down
stuffed bruin still hangs from the ceiling by one little paw.
I stopped payment on my season tickets even
before the bill came; just couldn't see handing over thousands of dollars to
reward indifferent, sloppy, and careless leadership by folks who've already
charged me thousands of dollars in the past for four of the most miserable
years of my life.
Instead...I'm going Stub Hub and guess who my next
best driving range buddy is? And how'd you know it was Mike Garrett? So the
same guy I've been asking to be fired for the last 15 years is now there to
cheer up my often demoralized golfing spirits. Dang, I know I'm going straight
to Hypocrite Hell.
And now I'm off to spend the next week in search
of new Head Coach Lane Kiffin's personality!

Brother Jay...So my Aunt Clara gave me permission to run an

The June-August New Patient Extravaganza came to
a close on August 31.
Everyone who referred a patient to TCDC was entered and
Linda Payne of Temple City
walked away with the honors along with flowers and a new 42" Vizio flat screen
TV.
Linda has been a great supporter of TCDC during
her years as an awesome patient.
When Linda walks into a room, the energy level
just takes off. And why not? Linda is a dynamo and the basic reason Temple City has a Chamber
of Commerce these days. Linda is the President and CEO of the Chamber and has
been a powerhouse within the community she's called home since birth.
