Greetings!

new team pic 2010

Okay, June is all about graduations and weddings and summer finally arriving so you don't need me to tell ya what an awesome month it is.

(Here's the team outside near our spa fountain. What an awesome bunch of gals!)

However, I've left a few things off. And if you're part of the Temple City Dental Care elite and you know you are because you're receiving this totally personalized online newsletter (aka an "ezine" if you tweet or live on Facebook), you'll know what I mean.

For one thing, June is Quakes' Month! This will be our Eighth Annual Oral Cancer Awareness Night at the Ballpark and once again we're celebrating the evening with our buddies, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. More details to follow.

And let's not forget Smiles for Life! June is the last month of the fundraiser campaign that delivers whiter, brighter smiles courtesy of teeth whitening for the donation of only $100. All proceeds go to charity; our local favorite is A Better LA.

And just when you think I'm gonna stop talking about it, Invisalign pops up as our featured treatment for the month of June. If you guys also receive our mailed newsletter (and you should), you'll read all about the very coolest technology I've seen during my Molar Jockey career and have the chance to take advantage of some great special offers too.

Guess that leaves us some info regarding our support of Rosemary's Children Service, some stuff I haven't thought of yet and Aunt Clara's video DEBUT! Yep, you finally get a chance to see her in video!

Yours truly,

Dr. V

salute TroyOur 12th annual Smiles for Life campaign ends on June 30.

So you still have time to treat yourself to $100 teeth whitening and a great reason to be smiling. All proceeds go to charity and helping children who could use some support. Our Fav organization for the second year in a row is A Better LA.

TCDC has raised close to $100,000 since 1998 to help children in the areas of health, education, and the inner city. Smiles for Life campaign fundraising has accounted for $27,000,000 nationwide.

JUNE is Invisalign month! SPECIAL - NOW IS YOUR CHANCE!
invisalign

Okay, sorry if I tend to go on and on about Invisalign but I still get really excited about stuff...and especially over the possibility of providing a great service.

And it doesn't dampen my enthusiasm much when the service didn't even exist as recently as when Shaquille came to the Lakers (June is also NBA Playoff Finals month.)

Invisalign is the technology that allows us to straighten teeth without metal braces (Invisalign is appropriate care for 80% of adult orthodontics.)

Today, over one million folks are walking around with beautiful smiles and healthy tissue due to Invisalign.

So if you always wanted that healthy SoCal smile but never wanted to strap on metal braces, your opportunity has arrived.

Our Inner Circle Special for June includes free consults, free teeth whitening with Invisalign (Value: $260...and you'll never have more accurate whitening trays than the virtually invisible CT-scanned aligners,) and free Vivera retainers (value: $500.)

All you need to do to qualify is begin care in the month of June.

And remember, when you refer family and friends you'll receive a $50 credit toward future care AND the chance to win a 41" flat screen.

"The Bob Leslie Story"

Pgs 33-36.

"Tragic Choice: The Bob Leslie Story" running time: 10:12 min

Joe Garagiola narrates this powerful story of a young man-a baseball player and coach-whose life was ended abruptly because of his choice to use spit tobacco. The video includes moving interviews with Bob, his wife, and members of his high-school baseball team. Available in VHS and DVD.

"I'm really impressed with Dr. V and his warm, caring staff at Temple City Dental. My uncle is a dentist back east and I've had major issues finding a good (and gentle) dentist in California who could also take care of my dental health "just like family". I tried a few dentists and developed a fear of going back to them because these experiences were painful and impersonal. I was beginning to think that maybe my expectations were too high.

Then I met Dr. V! In addition to being knowledgeable, thorough and genuinely concerned with my dental needs, he smiles a lot and I could tell that he truly loves what he does. Dr. V and Kolleen were gentle and made sure that I was okay during the entire visit.

The spa atmosphere mentioned on the TCDC website actually worked! I stayed comfortable and calm throughout my appointment. Finally, my search for a dental practice that treats me like family is over.

Well worth the 45 minute drive. I feel pretty good about going to the dentist again. Thanks Dr. V!"

:) Thank you Angela!!

A Night at the Ballpark!

salute TroySo it's already here! On Saturday evening, June 19, up to 150 of the faithful are gonna have a blast.

The Night at the Ballpark is a favorite TCDC event and we've been at eight years now. It all began as the result of Dr. V's participation in screening ballplayers for oral cancer during the Spring Training of 2002. Joined by buddy Doc Shimasaki of Pasadena, the two molar jockeys screened the entire Angel organization. Later that year, the Angels won their first World Series. A coincidence? I don't think so.

If you've never visited the Quakes' ballpark, the Epicenter, you've really missed out. Mascots Tremor and Aftershock are a total blast to watch, the post game fireworks get better every year; we'll raffle off throwing out the first pitch and distribute some serious Quake Cash.

And the cause is as important as the one death per hour caused by oral cancer in the U.S.

If you'd like to be one of the elite 150, please give us a call at 626/285-3161; we'd love to see you at the ballpark.
