| Greetings! | |

Alright, so May is an awesome and special month and I'm really
sorry we skipped April.
When a bunch of you guys showed up with signs,
pitchforks, and shovels demanding your online newsletter, I knew I must
continue. (The show must go on!)
For one thing, I'd rather have skipped May because this month
marks one more time I have to officially lie about the number that comes up on
the 3rd. (Birthday)
The second Sunday in May is Mother's Day and as far as TCDC
goes, Mother's Day is probably the most important date on the calendar. If you
didn't already know, I always frame patients as my Mom, knowing that Mom was
Sicilian and if I didn't do the right thing and give 110%, she'd never forget
and would be bent on revenge.
And by the time you get this newsletter, you'll know if whether you were
feeling the effects of the virgin Margaritas we served up with chips, salsa,
and guacamole on Cinco de Mayo.
The first week in May is Teacher Appreciation Week. May is also
National Hamburger, Asparagus, and BBQ Months; the 26th is National
Blueberry Cheesecake Day. So, if you stick to the BBQ and asparagus, you'll be
in good shape following Kinesiologist to the Elite Athletes Doc Sahara's
"Simple Diet."
And we have more info about Invisalign this month, and
introduction to Rosemary Children's Services, some specials for the Inner
Circle, total lack of interest in Trojan football but more about Smiles for
Life, a feature on Doc Sahara, some continuing education, and...of course...a few
words of wisdom from Aunt Clara.
Yours truly,
Dr. V

Our 12th annual Smiles for Life campaign started back
on March 1st and will continue through June.
We're offering teeth-whitening for
the ridiculous donation of only $100 (its okay if you give more) with all
proceeds going to charity, helping children in the areas of health, education,
and inner city. We've selected A Better LA as our local non-profit for the
second year in a row. A Better LA strives to create communities where families can
work, play, and dream without fear. The inspiring organization is well on its
way to generating a model for at-risk communities nation-wide. If you or friends and family ever entertained the possibility of
a whiter, brighter smile, now would be a great time to act. And why not have
something awesome to smile about? Please ask for our complimentary paraffin hand care when you
come by. We'll also provide courtesy oral cancer exams. Click here for Pete Carroll video, founder of A Better LA

2010 marks 90th year of providing quality care

I had the opportunity to meet with Rosemary Children's Services'
Executive Director Greg Wessels and Development Director Jennifer Radics
courtesy of TCDC Group member and Rosemary Board member Elena Elkina. What an
impressive group of folks and organization! The Pasadena
organization has provided comprehensive assistance for at-risk youth since
1920. Hopefully, I'll be able to take on some Board responsibility and TCDC
will have another the chance to make a difference for the community.

 Okay,
so we love providing Invisalign care.
In fact, all TCDC team members have had
Invisalign care and they do have some awesome smiles...and it's an understatement
saying they're certainly fully self-expressed. So what have I created here
anyway??? Invisalign
is applicable for about 80% of patients wanting straighter teeth. And with
Invisalign there is no metal! If
you or friends and family are interested, consults are free. Most Invisalign
care is available for as little as $206 monthly, interest free for two years or
$115 monthly at 13.9% for five years. The
resulting smile and improved health lasts a lifetime. *Free
whitening and retainers included. Click here for real - life stories.
*Temple City Dental Care is an Invisalign Preferred Provider and
Dr. Jack has been recognized as an America's Top Dentist for 2008,
2009, and 2010.

"For
years I would panic at the thought of going to the dentist. Then fate brought
me to Dr. Jack Von Bulow. He is patient, gentle, and talented. Over time, his
gift of gab and laugh helped me to relax. Now, a visit to the dentist is time
spent with friends, all of whom care about my well being. Thank
you, one and all!"

We've
been really fortunate to have cultivated a great relationship with Citrus College's
awesome Dental Assisting Program. For years now, we've provided in-service
training and we've really benefited from the energy, intelligence, and
enthusiasm brought our way by the bright folks who're just starting out in
dentistry. If
you're interested in a career in dentistry, Citrus is an excellent place to
start. For more information, please call the Dental Assisting Department at
(626) 914-8728. Click here for Lisa on video in Doc V's office!
Lisa
did some great work at TCDC during her internship. And after appreciating her
verbal skills in the video, please don't assume she was paid to make the
announcement. And she's not even a distant relative. Really. |
