Greetings!

staff

OMG, it's March!

What happened? Seems like only yesterday it was Ground Hog Day and now...lo and behold, we're lookin' at March and National Pig Day straight in the eye.

Where does the time go?

So I happen to be an expert on March and March is very special here at Temple City Dental Care.

And I know a bunch of you think we're all about March just because St Patrick's Day is Singing Dental Assistant Kolleen's favorite holiday but there's way more to it than that (although when Kolleen is happy and singing, we all tend to be happy too.)

And I seriously doubt any bruin fans out there know the 17th is also Submarine Day. Uhuh, didn't think so.

Bet you didn't know March 5th is Multiple Personalities Day or March 8 is Be Nasty Day or even that March 22 is National Goof-off Day (and yes, it falls on a Monday.)

Hey! When your practice intention includes "...making dentistry fun" you have to know stuff like March is National Peanut Butter Month and that National Potato Chip Day falls on the 14th this year.

Now I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'...our veteran golden Inner Circle patients (and you know who you are) might be looking for some perks depending on the March day of the week (still not sure what we're giving out on March 12, Alfred Hitchcock Day.)  But I'm totally excited just writing about it.

And okay, this month we'll bring you up to speed on our specials, include another Cosmetic Tip, and hook you up with a Beacon Media column by yours truly starring Tiger Woods, Gloria Allred, ADP (Another Delusional Payroll) and the gray-haired old man who used to coach USC Football.

Plus...an eye-opening article that might make you think twice about skipping that next hygiene appointment. And...I didn't forget...a few more words of wisdom from Aunt Clara. And more.

SPECIAL SUPER-DUPER Offer

Over here at Temple City Dental Care, we really appreciate the impact of oral health on general health and quality of life. So why not make it easy for folks to come in and see how they're doing?

Through April 1, all new patients visiting our beautiful, spa-like dental home will receive a free exam and x-rays (value: $260) plus complimentary paraffin hand care and a welcoming gift. Or they can apply a credit of $200 toward any future care. And the first seven newbies to visit our office will qualify for a chance to win dinner for two at Gale's in Pasadena.

A call to (626)283-5511 can create a TCDC spa experience. Folks can also visit our website and learn more about us at www.templecitydental.com.
And...it's perfectly okay to forward this newsletter to friends and family who haven't seen the dentist in a while.

We are truly honored by the trust and support shown by our patients in referring the important people in their lives to our practice. Any referrals to TCDC qualify are acknowledged with lifetime whitening and paraffin hand care and some hopefully surprising goodies that can never begin to approach our appreciation. Thanks!!!

Yours truly,

Dr. V

Celebrity Patient Corner- Dana is in our top 80/20

salute TroyFor the last eight years or so, TCDC has been fortunate to have a friend in Dana Demko.

Not only has Dana been the consistent calming source of good times with every visit, she's been like a virtual Marketing Director for our practice.  Dana has seemingly referred at least half of the IT Department at Southern California Edison to our office.  And every single friend of Dana seems so happy and interesting you just can't wait to meet them all.  Wonder who the common denominator is?

Dana is pretty humble about her role at SCE as Supervisor for the IT Finance Group and shucks, all she does is develop a $50 million budget for software development and maintenance.  Dana has worked for SCE for 27 years; she says she loves working at SCE because of its family-type culture and integrity.

So after a few years of my not even understanding compound interest, I began to make sense of the 80:20 Rule.  My application of the rule is, "My Top Twenty favorite folks make me smile when I see their name."  And Dana is a unanimous Top Twenty selection around here.

Dana, thanks for being such a classy friend!

green teaTip: #8

Green Tea can come across as modern snake oil but rinsing with it can actually help reduce the formation of plaque and counteract the acids that drive the tooth decay process.

So you might think writing a Temple City Tribune column about Tiger Woods, ADP (Another Payroll Destroyed), and Old Hypocrite former USC Football Coach Pete Carroll is easy...and it is:

Coolest Innovation
invisalignI've said this before and I'll definitely say it again:

Invisalign is by far the coolest innovation I've seen in my close to thirty years of dentistry. I've seen so many friends benefit from orthodontics with no traditional metallic braces that I can barely control my excitement.

Friends who used to speak with their hand in front of their mouth, family with TMJ issues and severely worn down teeth, and gym-rat spin buddies with periodontal disease have transformed their health and quality of life just by choosing Invisalign. I'll be including an educational segment here almost every month.

group victoryI have real life stories to share with you. Perhaps you can relate with these people. Click here for my dedicated page on my site with the videos of these folks. (Scroll down the page once you are there.)

Can u relate?

If you or your friends have ever had any interest in having straighter teeth but never really wanted to strap on metal braces, please call us to set up a free consult.

*Temple City Dental Care is an Invisalign Preferred Provider and Dr. Jack has been recognized as an America's Top Dentist for 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Aunt C speaks again!

On the secret to staying young:

"So Aunt Clara, you were born when Archduke Franz Ferdinand still had a pulse (the Archduke was knocked off in 1914, starting up WWI), what's the secret to staying young at age ninety..."

"Jack, I love you...but if you say that number one more time, I'm gonna pop you one."
