Specific areas of expertise are training, coaching and hands-on leadership of Lean and Six Sigma activities.
Founder and President Mercedes Bartow is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a Kaizen facilitator and an ISO auditor.Five years ago, 370 Consulting Group opened its doors in downtown Greenville. In 2008, they expanded with an office in the UK to focus on the European market. 370 Consulting Group has worked with dozens of companies in 13 states and five foreign countries.
Mercedes' 13 years at BMW as a manager in finance and director of internal consulting, as well as her fluency in the German language have been instrumental in the development of foreign business. Her clients typically include manufacturing companies as well as service providers in a wide variety of industries such as automotive, steel stamping, military/defense, container shipping, electrical products, food processing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, hospitals, hospitality, industrial service contractors, architectural engineering, venture capital firms, as well as higher education institutions.
Mercedes enjoys living in the "How It's Made" show every day! Today 370 Consulting Group has grown its revenue base ten-fold since inception. While work commitments may find her traveling to remote locations, Mercedes is a strong believer in community involvement. She's been recognized as a leader by organizations such as American Society for Quality, and serves as chair of the upstate professional society chapter. She currently serves as Meals on Wheels Greenville's board Treasurer and the Free Medical Clinic board Secretary. Her active support of the Greenville Chamber includes Leadership Greenville class 35, Manufacturers Roundtable sponsorship, mentorship in the PULSE Pacesetters program, and five active years of membership. 370 Consulting Group has grown through the recession by successfully enabling companies to find ways to do things better, faster, and cheaper.
