Health and Fitness at Daytona State
Greetings!
Want to get fit and lead a healthier lifestyle? Do you have arthritis, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, or just plain soreness throughout your body? Regular swimming builds endurance, muscle strength, and cardio-vascular fitness. Kicking workouts, water aerobics, pool running, or a regular swimming workout can all give you a great exercise session without the weight of your body pounding you with each move. After a land workout, swimming a few laps can help you cool-down, move blood through your muscles to help them recover, and help you relax as you glide through the water.
Community Access The Daytona State College Aquatic Center is open to the community. To make it more convenient to patrons, we have developed daily, four-month and yearly rates. The paperwork and payment can all be done at the Aquatic Center. For more information visit www.DaytonaState.edu/aquatic_ctr
Closure for pool maintenance is July 27 through Aug. 7. |
