Curriculum Committee Report
The curriculum committee is undergoing a year long review of all curricular elements. The September meeting focused on the Women's Health curriculum. Many new ideas were raised regarding the Ambulatory Women's Health rotation which will be investigated and integrated going forward. The changes to the MCH rotation were reviewed. The new didactic schedule has received positive feedback thus far. Welcome again to Tracy Kedian to the new role as Associate Residency Director of Women's Health.

Resident of the Month Marcy Boucher, MD (Barre)
Marcy Boucher, MD, graduated in 2011 from UMass Medical School and earned her BS in Biochemistry at Simmons College in 2006. Raised in Tyngsboro, MA, Marcy served as a co-coordinator of the UMass FMIG and as a Committee member for the MA Medical Society. Her personal interests include skiing and golfing.
Here are excerpts from those individuals who nominated Marcy this month:
From our residents: "I've been on NICU with Marcy this month and watched her go through long weekend shifts complete with continuity deliveries (and her deliveries always seem to go on her one day off... I know that happens to everyone, but she reacts to it with such grace!), as well as coach the new interns through tips and tricks of both residency AND motherhood.....Marcy's joyful and inspiring."
Dr. Seymour: "Marcy is as hardworking as they come but on top of that she has an easy laugh and a sharp wit that makes her a joy to work with. Definitely someone that you want on your team. When I overhear her talking to consultants she makes me so proud that she's one of our program's residents."
Dr. Earls: "Awesome choice! Marcy has always had an impressive attitude and work ethic. Her enthusiasm for her work, her dedication to her patients and her positive attitude make it a pleasure to have her in our health center every day. It is a privilege to have her as one of our residents."
Dr. Ennis: "Marcy did an amazing job on her MCH rotation. She functioned at an exceptionally high level for an intern. I always felt assured that the patients she was following were in good hands."
