Student Clinic Massages Now Offered at the Institute for Massage Education 
 
Beginning in August 2010, the Institute for Massage Education at KCHA will offer 50-minute full-body massages to the general public. This is a great opportunity to receive massage at a greatly reduced rate.
 
Students near the completion of their training at the Institute will perform the massages. The fee is $30 per session, with 10 percent off for senior citizens or students with a valid I.D.
There is no charge for graduates of the Institute for Massage Education.
 
Upcoming dates are:  August 24, 31, September 14 or 21 at 1:30 or 3 p.m.
 
 You will need to bring two full-size flat sheets, a pillow with pillowcase and a blanket.

Pregnancy Massage Class and Fertility Massage Specialist Certification

 
 Claire Marie Miller, an NCBTMB approved continuing education provider, will offer two Nurturing the Mother classes at the Institute for Massage Education. Nurturing the Mother Pregnancy Massage class will be Nov. 13 - 15  and Nov. 16 - 17 will be the Fertility Massage Specialist Certification class. The first class offers 24 CEs and costs $495 ($450 if paid in full by Oct. 13). The second class offers 16 CEs and is $395 ($350 if paid in full by Oct. 16).   Become a Massage Therapist by Starting Our Fall 2010 Class Session
 
 
The next session of daytime classes begins September 28 with classes held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Orientation will be Sept. 9 or 23. 

One of the first steps in becoming a student is to attend one of our free Massage as a Profession workshops. These are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6 - 8 p.m. You can learn about our program, speak with instructors and students, as well as receive a tour of the building. We end each workshop by offering a neck and shoulders massage. Interested in attending?
