Immune System Support
The staff at the School of Massage & Bodywork would like to offer a few guidelines/tips to help support your immune system this season (and help you avoid the symptoms of seasonal flu).

- Receive regular massage to help fight infection, and move  infection out. Salt or sugar scrubs are good at stimulating the lymphatic system.
- Make sure you get plenty of sleep.
-Receive colon therapy, which helps release toxins that build up in the colon.
-Drink Emergen-C and warm liquids. This washes off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive.
- Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in vitamin C.
- Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (or Listerine). If the salt water is concentrated enough, it will kill most germs in the mouth and some from the throat.

Remember to breathe. When you feel stressed - take 10 seconds to breathe normally.

studentNext Class Session

New class sessions at the
School of Massage & Bodywork at KCHA begin
January 22, 2010.

If you are interested in evening / weekend classes, please reserve your spot by 2/10/10.
(The evening/weekend classes will begin in March 2010, are only offered once a year, and are only available if the class quota is met.)

One of the first steps in becoming a student is to attend one of our free Massage as a Profession workshops. These are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6 - 8 p.m. You can learn about our program, speak with instructors and students, as well as receive a tour of the building. We end each workshop by offering a neck and shoulders massage. Interested in attending? Call (269) 373-0910 or email us at admissions@kcha.com.

Upcoming Massage as a Profession Workshops:
January 6 or
January 20
6 - 8 p.m.

If you are unable to attend a Massage as a Profession workshop we can arrange a personal tour at a time that's convenient for you. Just call Admissions Director Kim Merkel at (269) 373-0910 or send e-mail to admissions@kcha.com.  We want you to
get to know us in person. The School of Massage & Bodywork offers a hands-on program, after all, and it's important for prospective students to really feel what goes on here.
