While visiting North Topsail Beach last October, Catherine Spratt and husband witnessed the onset of winter. Catherine was able to catch the shot that would place her in third for the title of Spirit of the American Garden in the International Garden Photographer of the Year Competition. "After our
visit,they would shut the house as they had no more rentals booked
until Christmas, The previous day's weather had been glorious but this
morning we could see the approach of winter", remarks Catherine.The couple reside in Brentford, UK.

CISM Boxing Coming to Jacksonville
October 8-17, 2010 at Camp Lejeune Goettge Fieldhouse
CISM Boxing is coming to Camp Lejeune in October! The event will be open to the public at Camp
Lejeune, NC on October 8-17. The military boxing event will be
showcasing boxers from all over the world!
CISM annually organizes over twenty Military World Championships for
different sports in which all member nations can take part. They also
organize continental and regional competitions and every four years the
Military World Games and most recently Winter Games are held. These are
multi-sport events organized by CISM in conjunction with CISM member
nations.

Hampton Inn Coming to Swansboro
Construction is underway for the brand new Hampton Inn in Swansboro. The new hotel will be located on Old Hammocks Road. March 2011 is the projected completion date.
