eSlide Extreme Makeover
Due back within a few hours, this makeover request was to make the "Before" slide less confusing.
eSlide Diagnosis
Much of the original text in the "Before" slide was redundant or contained the same information that the speaker was going to say in their voiceover. At the same time, the existing template made it difficult to see the differences between the page title and a slide template theme graphic. Content in the "Economy" box at the bottom of the page didn't relate to the rest of the content in a logical way.
eSlide Results
The "After" slide template was adjusted so that the true page title was apparent. The relationship between the information in the "Economy" section and other content was investigated and repaired. Content was organized into quadrants by using a pie chart-like graphic to show that the 4 categories were components of "Economy".
Shortened bullet text was arranged within the appropriate quadrants, allowing the audience to clearly see what information belonged to what slice. To further clarify the meaning of each category, imagery was added. Each quadrant was given a unique color to show distinct differences in content. Final results successfully establish how visually organizing the structure of a slide can instantly convey the message.
