LIFE by PowerPoint
LIFE or Death by PowerPoint?

We believe strongly that PowerPoint can bring LIFE to your ideas and critical messages, while at the same time contribute to the success of your meeting communications. We have seen billion dollar products get launched with PowerPoint presentations, and billion dollar merger deals closed. We have clients who have given great presentations with the help of some excellent PowerPoint slides and their careers have skyrocketed from that day on.

All this talk we hear about "Death By PowerPoint" is nonsense - it is Death by BAD PowerPoint. Sure there is plenty of BAD PowerPoint out there, but we believe there is even more good PowerPoint explaining complicated concepts, new business strategies, winning deals, and skyrocketing careers... people just don't talk about it. It's more fun to hate it. But we love it. Microsoft estimates that there are 30 million PowerPoint users. If you are getting this newsletter you are probably one of them.

mybrainshark.comIn order to bring more LIFE to your PowerPoint presentations, we would like to introduce you to the experts at mybrainshark.
We're fans of brainshark and have been using their services for years, now they've opened a free new site, mybrainshark.com. It's a great service for quickly and easily adding audio narration via your computer or phone to your PowerPoint slides and then sharing them online. Once your voice enriched presentation has been viewed, you can see when and what areas of your PowerPoint deck were watched and get valuable feedback. Give it a try. It's FREE.

eSlide Extreme Makeover
Bring LIFE to Your Bar Charts by Reducing Information Clutter
Before and After Sample
Standard PowerPoint charts make it easy to make a chart, but it's all too easy to end up with a cluttered, hard to read, hard-to-get-the-point chart. By removing some of the default grid lines and labels, you can end up with a bar chart that more clearly represents your important data.

This before and after is a good example of the eSlide production rule "Less is More". Avoid chart chaos by eliminating any data, label or line that may be repeating information or isn't necessary. Let your key data points stand out by keeping the chart simple, clean and easy to read.
