1) Lake Superior State University, AT&T and Michigan Tech team up to bring a Science and Engineering Festival to the LSSU campus.   Held on May 4th, this event will bring over 2,000 middle and high school students and teachers to the LSSU campus to provide innovative learning experiences in Science, Engineering and Technology.

The event includes numerous engaging and hands-on learning activities conducted by college students.  Each activity takes no more than 3 minutes to complete.  The goal is for students to learn the science behind the mystery.

Local businesses can participate by offering table top showcases of your operations and/or items you produce.  If your business has a science, technology or engineering component, this is a great opportunity to create some visibility for yourself while inspiring young minds to pursue careers in your field.  Contact Steve Patchin at shpatchi@mtu.edu  or (906) 487-2219 for more details.  More details available.
