LSSU hockeyLSSU is hosting round one of the CCHA playoffs!

Friday's game to be televised!
Laker hockey, which finished the regular season in 8th place in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, will play host to 9th place Ohio State University this weekend in the opening round of the CCHA Playoff series. The best two out of three series begins Friday with a 7:36 p.m. game time adjusted to accommodate live television coverage by CBS College Sports (CSTV). Announcers include Matt Shepard (play-by-play), Dave Starman and Shireen Saski. CSTV is available on Direct TV 613 and Dish network 152. Friday's game is the first to be televised at Taffy Abel Arena since the 1990s.

Laker hockey on TV is great, but Laker hockey live is even better!  Come back to the Taffy Abel Arena this weekend! LSSU students are away on Spring Break, so now is the chance for alumni to fill their seats and their role as the loudest and rowdiest section in Abel Arena! Since Friday's game will be televised, we don't want the TV cameras to show empty stands. Let's fill the seats with Laker blue and gold!

Friday's game begins at 7:36 p.m.; games on Saturday and Sunday (if necessary) will begin at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $11 for adults, $6 for children 18 and under and $5 for LSSU students. Ticket prices for tournament games are regulated by the CCHA. Reserve your tickets by calling LSSU's ticket office at 635-2602.  Ask for tickets in the Alumni section to be seated with other Laker alumni.
