The Sault Area Chamber of Commerce and Smith & Company Real Estate are pleased to invite you to join us for a meet and greet with Congressman Dan Benishek.   

 

Congressman Benishek will be in Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday, February 2nd.   The Meet & Greet will be held at the Lake Superior State University Cisler Center's Crow's Nest from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.   Light refreshments will be provided.

This course is designed for individuals who want to increase their chances for successful self-employment or business launch.

Specifics of the course include:
  • The importance of selecting the correct legal structure, planning the products and services you will sell and staff and management issues. 
     
  • The importance of record keeping, insurance, identifying the target market, evaluating the competition and marketing and pricing.

  • skated for the New York Islanders from 1983 until 1991, the Buffalo Sabres from 1991 until 1997, and the New York Rangers from 1997 until his retirement in 1998.
  • 1984 U.S. Olympic team in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia.
  • one Stanley Cup appearance with the Islanders vs. Oilers.
  • inducted into the hockey Hall of Fame in 2003.
  • in 2003, was recognized with the International Humanitarian Award by the Gift of Life Foundation.
  • March 2004, inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame.
