The Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the community for helping to make the 4th of July parade an awesome event. With more than 125 parade entries there was something for everyone with many notable entries including the Color Guard units; from the US Coast Guard, US Border Patrol, 1437 National Guard, Michigan State Corrections Honor Guard; Sault Shrine Club; Chippewa County Concert Band; Friends of the Barking Lot; Spongebob Squarepants; EUP Antique Tractors, Hospice of the EUP and the Statue of Liberty, just to name a few. With so many great entries it was a challenge for the parade committee to decide on the winners this year, but alas they have narrowed the selection. Congratulations to the following organizations: - Best in Show: The 1437 National Guard Armory Unit
- Best Walking Group: Sault High Alumni Theatre
- Best Float: Kewadin Casino
THANKS FOR A GREAT PARADE! |
