Meet the Candidates Forum October 26, 2009 7:00 p.m. - 9 p.m. Lake Superior State University Walker Cisler Center - Crow's Nest
The Sault Area
Chamber of Commerce along with the Lake Superior State University Political
Science Club will be hosting the 4th Annaul Meet the Candidate Forum. These forums provide our community with
an opportunity to meet candidates running for local, state and national
offices.
The 2009 Meet
the Candidate Forum will focus on those running in the city election. There are five candidates running for three
positions on the Sault Ste. Marie City Commission. All five candidates have confirmed their attendance at the
event. The candidates for commission
seats are Ray Bauer, Marilyn Burton, Matthew Calder, Jay Gage and William
Lynn. Mayor Anthony Bosbous is also up
for re-election and will be in attendance.
The audience
will be encouraged to submit written questions to the moderator who will then
provide each candidate an opportunity to address the question. Candidates will give brief opening and
closing statements and have the chance to meet one-on-one with those in
attendance. Parking is available in the Visitor's Parking lot or in the lot
behind the Cisler Center. For more
information, contact the Sault Area Chamber of Commerce at (906) 632-3301.

THANK YOU!
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Kewadin Casino for hosting the October Business After 5. The event, complete with blackjack and slot tournaments, was great fun and the food - amazing! Congratulations to those attendees who won some fabulous prizes, Heather Smith, Mary Jo Barck, Bill Goldenbogen, Sue Johnson, Dale Johnson, Asia Ferre and Cindy Stack. There were so many prizes we did not get the names of all winners! Our apologizes to those we missed. We are currently working on a list of great businesses to host Business After 5 events in 2010. Details will be available in the near future! |
