Greetings!

I'm just back from Washington, DC and the National Women's Business Conference hosted by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) in partnership with the Association of Women's Business Centers. This year's conference celebrated NAWBO's 35th Anniversary with the theme, "The Power of One:" One Woman. One Business. One Voice.

I learned that your voices have been heard, most recently through the SBA's Rule for the Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program. Thanks to all who took the time to comment. The SBA is currently reading through all of your input and is hopeful to have a final rule completed and ready for implementation by Fall. We're excited about this at E-Magnify and look forward to being your partners in having a vehicle to obtain the 5% goal of federal government contracts to women owned businesses across all agencies. We'll keep you posted on the progress.

Your success is our success!

Entrepreneurs' Corner
E-Magnify's featured entrepreneur for June is Julie Bomberger,
Owner, Paul's Specialty Meat Market Inc. in Beaver County, PA. Julie was raised in an entrepreneurial family and became an entrepreneur in 1993 when she opened her own business. However, after 10 years, she sold the business and set her sights on management in retail establishments not owned by her family. But as Julie watched the store her father had worked so hard to maintain slowly slip into disarray, she knew it was time to come back once again and rebuild her family's business from the ground up - making it stronger and better than ever before. She reopened as Paul's Specialty Meat Market in October 2008 in a new, energy efficient, million-dollar facility just a short drive down the road from her father's last store.
