More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business - now that's something to celebrate! National Small Business Week is coming up and as part of the celebration honoring 27.2 million small businesses, Western Pennsylvania will host its 34th Annual U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Small Business Awards Luncheon & Trade show on Friday, May 28th. Time is running out for public comments regarding the SBA's proposed women-owned small business rule expanding access to federal procurement opportunities. We highly encourage you to share your comments with the SBA regarding the rule by the May 3rd deadline as this proposal will significantly change the landscape for women owned small businesses to do business with the Federal Government. Make your voices heard!

Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has proclaimed National Small Business Week to recognize the contributions of small businesses to the economic well-being of America. Western Pennsylvania participates in this week by holding its' annual awards luncheon and trade show.
