Geoff Hawkins Memorial Ride | Sunday 7/11/2010
Join us to honor the memory of Geoff Hawkins, co-founder of GP Motorcycles (in fact, he was the "G" of GP), with a nice Sunday ride, followed by a get-together with family and friends to reminisce...
Our
friend and one of the founders of GP, Geoff Hawkins, passed away recently,
and we are having a ride open to everyone who wishes to come down and help
us honor his memory. We will be meeting at the shop at 11:00 am and heading
out for a 3-4 hour ride -- so you will have plenty of time of have a nice Sunday
morning brunch before you head down to the shop.
We will have a suggested route through the east county including some of Geoff's favorite roads. The ride will be followed by a get together at 1811 Granda Avenue, San Diego, beginning at 3:00 pm, for anyone who wants to share stories and memories of Geoff.
All those who wish to share in this celebration of Geoff's life, but are
not attending the ride, are invited to come for the get-together, where there
will be food and beverages. If you like to drink anything particular you may
want to bring it along.

GP will be at the San Diego supermoto race event
at Qualcom stadium on July 17th.
This event is open to racers, spectators and street-riders alike. There
is even a street Supermoto class for the street-legal bikes! For more info

This event is too close to miss! GP has two of its former team race supermoto bikes available for rent for this event:
- 2008 Husqvarna 450 X Micky Dymond, and
- 2007 Husqvarna 250 X Adam Cini
Both bikes are AMA pro- level bikes and are available to rent for $500 or purchase at $6500 for the 450 and $5000 for the 250. We also have the 2009 X games 2nd place finishing bike of Adrien Charyre for sale (price on request).
We also have a good selection of Vanson supermoto race suits at sale pricing. These suits are good for street or race and work well for sport riding as they are less restrictive than full on road race suits but offer excellent protection.
