Prayer Requests

Dear Prayer Partner,
Continuing with the acronym, AC TS, which is a method I use in my prayer time. So far we have looked at A and C. This month, it is T--Thanksgiving. For what are you thankful? Here are some verses relating to Thanksgiving:
- Psalm 100:4 Come before our Lord with thanksgiving. Thankful for Him as Creator and remember He is our Savior. What attribute(s) of God mean the most to you? Thank God for that attribute of Him. In fact, Psalm 100 is a great chapter to memorize--it is only 5 verses.
- Phillipians 4:6 We are supposed to pray and make our requests known to Him with thanksgiving. Thankful for your family, your church, your health, and I'm sure you can think of many more.
- Colossians 3:17 Whatever we do in word or deed (ergon in Greek), which is to work or labor, we are to do with thanksgiving. Some of you get along great with your boss, while some of you may not. Remember, you are in your workplace to honor and glorify God in all you do.
We don't always have to think of the big things (job, car repairs, etc) of which to be thankful. Remember the small items--some encouragement you received during the day, able to accomplish all you desired to do at work, a surprise gift or refund you received, and so forth. God delights in hearing our praises and thanking Him. Don't forget to do so. If you desire more verses, send me an email at merv.wagner@brookesbible.com. Prayer and Praises
Praise
1. For the graduation on June 18. A great challenge from Rev. Doug White, about staying Engaged in the Work of the Lord, to our graduates.
2. The book sale, of which we started with over 2,000 books and we ended up with 300. Some organizations have come this week and an individual is here as I write to pick up the remaining 200 for distribution to who needs them.
3. For the Alumni open house. We had two students, because of the open house, who came to inquire about the school. In addition, the book sale brought in, for the first time, many individuals and churches to Brookes.
4. For the response Ben received at the IFCA conference. Most of the people had never heard about Brookes, but because of our presence they received literature and now know about the school.
5. The volunteers at the book sale and open house. Without them, we would have had much difficulty in handling the number of people who entered our doors. A BIG thank you to them.
1. One of our faculty members, Ben Olson, whose wife is pregnant. Pray for a healthy pregnancy and delivery in January.
2. For several of our students as they are going through financial and physical hardships.  3. We are returning to semesters from trimesters this last year. Pray for a good transition as we return to semesters.
4. For an increase in the number of students as our enrollment was down last year.
5. For an increase in full-time students, which would mean taking 12 credit hours.
6. For our board as we are still seeking a permanent president and have been talking to a couple of individuals.
