  Alumni of the Quarter

Our website, www.brookesbible.com, has several new features under the Alumni tab.

One is the Alumni of the Quarter.  Check to see who it is for the first quarter of 2010.  We will be highlighting a different Alumni each quarter.  By January 22, there will be a form on the website under the 'Alumni' tab where you can recommend an alumnus.  For this feature, an alumnus is one who has either received a 32-hour certificate or an Associates Degree.  We will need two pictures of the alumnus.  All of the necessary details will be included on the recommendation form.

There is, also, a tab for prayer requests.  You will need a login and password to access the requests.  Contact alumni@brookesbible.com for the information.

In the future, there will be some requests from the alumni for information for us.  One will be an Alumni Profile, which you will be able to email to us.  Another is a 1- and 5-year alumni survey.  We need to assess ourselves and you can help us do so.

We are trying to improve our contacts with you, friends and alumni, of Brookes Bible Institute. If you have any suggestions, please contact us at either the above email or 314-773-0083.

Brookes Seeking 100 Prayer Partners
Brookes is seeking 100 people to become a prayer partner with us.  If we can obtain more, we would be extremely joyful.  I will send a monthly email to you with prayer requests.   I will not during this time ask for finances from you.  There may be a prayer request for funds, but you will not receive a solicitation for funds in the email.  It is strictly for prayer requests.  It will cost you nothing, except time.  Please join us in prayer for Brookes.  Brookes started because the Christian community of St. Louis saw a need for a Bible Training School and through the prayers and gifts of that community Brookes was formed.

Monthly Prayer Time

A number of years ago, Brookes would have a monthly prayer time on Sunday afternoons.  For some reason, this time of prayer was stopped.  We are seeking to reinstitute this time of prayer.  We will meet the third Sunday of every month from 2 PM - 3 PM.   We will have a short 10 minute devotional, this Sunday, Jan. 17, given by Rev. Gary Armstrong of South County Bible Church, followed by a song, and the rest of the time will be spend in prayer.

Please join us for prayer this Sunday, Jan. 17, and in the following months.  It will cost you nothing, except your time and you will be immensely Blessed.
Spring Semester
SIS system

So far this semester, as we are in the first week, we have 38 students registered, with three of them being full-time.  The numbers are down from the Fall semester, but we have a remote class on Thursday night in which we are expecting 7-9 more students to register.  We, also, have students who register late this week and next week.  We are expecting 50-55 students this semester.

We were able to purchase a Student Information System Service last week.  Some of the features will enable the students to check their grades online, find missed assignments, as well as having donors to be able to print their own end of year receipts if they so desire.  We are not yet live, but will be so by the summer semester.
