Brookes Seeking 100 Prayer Partners
Brookes is seeking 100 people to become a prayer partner with us.  If we can obtain more, we would be extremely joyful.  I will send a monthly email to you with prayer requests.   I will not during this time ask for finances from you.  There may be a prayer request for funds, but you will not receive a solicitation for funds in the email.  It is strictly for prayer requests.  It will cost you nothing, except time.  Please join us in prayer for Brookes.  Brookes started because the Christian community of St. Louis saw a need for a Bible Training School and through the prayers and gifts of that community Brookes was formed.

Dear Alumni/Friend

This is the first newsletter to Alumni/Friends of Brookes Bible Institute.  We have alumni of BBI who have stepped forward and stated they want to join the school in helping establish an Alumni Association of the school.  They are Katie Childs, President;  Henry Martin, Vice-President;  Marcus Crane, Treasurer.  They are pictured here with Dr. Jim McIntosh, Academic Dean and Merv Wagner, Business Manager.

Contact the Alumni Office at alumni@brookesbible.com.   They would love to hear from you.  We are soliciting ideas for the "Alumni" section of our website.  Some of our ideas are:
  •  prayer requests
  •  what am I now doing
  •  contact me
  •  Choose an alumni of the year.  What ideas do you have as to  how to go choose that alumni?

What ideas do you have?  Let us know.

100th Anniversary

On October 17, 2009, we will have a 'homecoming' at Memorial Presbyterian Church.  Mark that date on your calendar.  This is the church, not the building, which granted Brookes the opportunity and facilities to have their first classes.  The current building is the Washington Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.
At our 'homecoming', we would like as many of you as possible to join us in meeting previous and current classmates, instructors, trustees, and friends of the school.  We will have a program where we will ask students and other people to give testimonies about their time at Brookes.  You will be contacted ahead of time so you can properly prepare.  At this celebration, we will provide further details for upcoming events in celebration of our 100 years.
More details will be mailed to you the first of July.

Article Subheading
Processional We had a great graduation this year.  It was held at Washington Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, which is the building where Brookes had our first class.  Check the pictures here and on the side panel.  We are very thankful for the congregation at Washington Tabernacle M.B. Church for letting us use their facilities.
It's not too late to register for summer classes.  The week of June 1 is the last week to register.
We will be offering Greek again in the Fall.  The Fall Schedule will be ready for online viewing the week of June 8.

Sincerely,
Mervin Wagner
