Greetings!

PS Kids Apr 09
This picture shows some Project Sasha children listening to a Bible lesson from Dennis, one of our staff.

Hooray!!  We are finally going to be able to provide the Chernov family with safe, suitable housing for the seven children now in their home and the three children to be added in the near future.

We have a signed contract to sell the four-room flat they now occupy.  If that deal closes as expected, they
can be in their new home in November.  They will have to spend several weeks living in the classroom at Dyetski Dom.  But, they are excited about the coming changes and have already started packing.

I'm including a brief update from Kostya.  You'll see that the timing of all this is presenting some challenges.  We won't receive the money for the sale until closing.  This money is needed to complete construction.

We are also adding a second Transition Living home to our ministry for Street Children at a monthly cost of $750.  A staff member, Luba, will live in a rented apartment that is open to street children who are willing to live by our rules.  This is a "last chance" for children who have no where else to go.

Don't grow weary,

Charles
Ministry Update from Kostya
Dear brother Charles, peace to you. Our news:

The deal on selling the apartment has been done. We received a prepayment of $2000 and signed a treaty where we say we will be selling this apartment in the beginning of September.

Andrei and myself have started doing paperwork on the flat. The government has increased the term of paperwork done - up to 2 months. I will be trying to persuade to make it in 1 month.

We found the workers who will be changing the heating system in the flat.  Chernovs are packing their things to move.

Right now I can't say how much would it cost to complete the apartment. We are working with different construction teams. We have finished the plastering of the walls. I have put everything I have in the construction. I really need additional finances urgent.

Vika and myself have discussed the team of guests in Septmeber. The secretary of the College Katya is working on their plan. The dates mentioned work fine for us. Everything is going to be fine.

Respectfully, Konstantin and Vika.
