Mulberry International Update December, 2008
 Chas BB at PSGreetings!

I hope that you enjoy our new electronic newsletter.  You will find news from Kostya, our Ukraine Director, and from Galya, Director of Pilgrim (Project Sasha.)  There is also an update on construction at Dyetski Dom.

Please take a minute to pray for the staff and those they minister to as you read about their work.

You can find more news and thoughts by reading my blog, www.chasmckibben.blogspot.com.

Don't grow weary,
Charles
 Thank You!

Many of you responded to last month's "Fill the Gap" appeal very generously.  We have been able to raise about 60% of our goal.  Another way to fill this gap would be additional monthly support.

For a gift of $600 ($50 per month) you could sponsor a day of ministry in Ukraine.  Maybe you still have someone on your Christmas list that is impossible.  Why not sponsor their birthday?  We will be glad to send a card acknowleging the gift.  Just send us a note with your intent.

Peace and blessings of the Lord to you, brother Charles. We thank you for the labor God is doing through you in the USA and Ukraine.

Congratulate your family with Thanksgiving and wish you peace and joy, good health and success in your deeds. We thank all of our friends for your praying hearts and generous hands. That is God's grace and His love and mercy!

We received boxes with clothes from Ganz in Fertile, Iowa. Tell them all thanks from us. The clothes provide our children, the kids of Pilgrim and the kids in our hospitals. We thank all of our friends who send boxes to Ukraine. That's a great labor, that they are doing during this important and difficult time for us.
We pray for the Lord to give them a 100 more times!

We are doing fine. The families are doing fine. The new children of Gudvil and Chernov adjusted well. The work in Pilgrim is going on, many kids come there. Ministries in the hospitals are also successful.
We try to keep our expenses to the minimum.

You are always in our prayers.

Charles and everyone who is with you there, hello! Peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ!

Here I decided to share news from the project.

Everything is super great here! God is with us, He doesn't leave us during the hardships. There are a lot of kids coming, sometimes up to 20 per day and all of them with difficulties. There is one family, coming to us, they have 12 children (6 of them come to us) and they only have a mom. They come to eat every day. This is a very poor family.

Recently I opened new boxes with clothing and I'd like to express my gratitude. Thank you to everyone who is trying hard to help us. I felt tears coming to my eyes when I opened the boxes, I just could feel the care that people took to gather those things. I bow down to all of you! I dressed up almost all of the children. At least I was able to give them everything, except for shoes. We can't buy them shoes. But I think that the Lord will also take care of that.

Then, more good news. We sent 2 guys to the rehabs and found a job for another one. We didn't send anyone to the rehab for quite a while. We sent a girl to Dneproderzhinsk and a boy is here, not far from Simferopol.

We have a good time here. We are a very active organization! We also decided to make a tour through schools where our children study. The tour has already started and of course, we are not very much excited by the information that we get from the teachers about the families and parents. As a rule, the parents are drunk addicts, don't pay any attention to the children's upbringing. That's why children come to our project. We work every day and so don't have much time to get to this matter. But we are trying.

We also had a disco at the project, though we danced with the TV, but everyone liked it. Now we are thinking about Christmas party, what would this party be like? Well, this might be all for now. Write, when you have time.We love you and look forward to see you, blessings.

Respectfully, Galina.

Construction at Dyetski Dom

I don't think we could have picked a worse time in the economic history of the world to raise funds for a building project.  In the picture, you can see that we are finishing the new entrance for units three and four.  We are also finishing our construction funds.

Yakov's Light is still willing to match gifts toward this project.  We need about $85,000 to relocate the Chernov family.  Mold has been found in the walls of their apartment.  We are making short term fixes, but the best answer is to complete the construction at Dyetski Dom.

Please pray about including this in your year-end giving.
