Greetings!
Chas, Hoyt, Kostya, Pete, Jan
You are invited!

I will be taking a small team to Ukraine in April.  We plan to visit each of Mulberry's ministries during a short, ten-day trip.  The dates are April 13-23 and the cost will be $1750.  (The dates and cost are both subject to tweaking based on airfare and schedules.)

There is a report from the Project Sasha Christmas party in another article.  The party was held in January to observe Orthodox Christmas.  Several of you made Christmas donations that funded this party and celebrations by our foster families.

The economic and political situation in Ukraine remains unstable.  The exchange rate has increased 40% which should be good for us.  Unfortunately, shortages have caused prices to increase even more.

Don't grow weary,
Charles

Christmas at Pilgrim (Project Sasha)

Galya FamilyPiece and blessings to you,

It's time for me to share things that are happening here. The new year has started off well enough (if not to count my disease). I mean that everything goes well at the project. The New Year's celebration and Christmas celebration went just marvelous! Lots of presents, laughter, joy, competitions, surprises, lots of promises and new goals. The presents went to different parts of our Ukraine. It's a  present for Yana - new boots and lots of sweets in the box, she is in the rehabcenter in Dneproderzhinsk city. We call her from time to time. It also was a present for our Ella - she got lots of sweets too. Our Ella is serving as a pastor's helper - praise the Lord. I am so happy for her. Than we sent boxes to 3 of our boys who are in prison right now, they are also in different towns.

So, praise God for those who sew in our ministry. May God bless every hand that is giving.

Another good news- we've been invited to work at the camp again, so you can be sure to come. I will write the detailed prices and dates at the end of April or May, due to the uncertainty that takes place in Ukraine right now - you can't say anything for sure. So this is how we are doing. Right now I am getting the programs for the camp ready. I had a study session at the institute, I passed all the exams with "4" and "5" - that's very good. I still keep the treatment, thank you very much for your help. I will write more soon.

Love to all of you, Galina.

Piece and blessings of the Lord to you.

I'd like to tell you that we are doing fine. The ministry is still at a good level. We are planning to work with our guests this year. We all thank you for your greetings and encouragement. All the staff and parents are sending you their thanks.Everyone is looking forward to your arrival.

The holidays are left behind and usual working days have been started. We had two holiday days at the Pilgrim, with the special program and presents - both for New Year and Christmas. Everyone liked it very much.

We are developing a new form for working with children in Pilgrim. We have two volunteers who are helping us develop a little film-studio on the bases of the photo-club. Everyone was excited when being shot in the first experimental movie. Luba is joining us February the1st, she is a good staff worker. Galya is still getting treatment, her health is becoming worse then better again. She misses her job when she has to stay in bed at home. But sometimes she comes to help with the ministry.

Everything is going smooth in Yevpatoria, the families are doing fine. A few days ago I've been called to come to the city counseling and they asked me again about the terms for the Chernov's apartment, when it will be ready. I didn't tell them anything specific.

We are praying about you and all our friends.
Respectfully.
Konstantin.
Building Update

DD House

In the report from Konstantin, he mentions being called before the city counsel with questions about the Chernov's apartment.  The question they keep asking is, "When will you move this family into the large building- like you promised."

Currently, we need to raise $80,000 in order to complete unit three and provide the Chernov family with adequate housing for ten foster children.  To donate, please indicate "building fund" on your check and mail to:
