Building your Business: Taking the Right Steps

Laryssa Kwoczak Design

Laryssa Kwoczak started LKGD because she loves designing and meeting new people, but after hearing over and over about small businesses not knowing how to find a good designer within their budget, she decided to change the direction of her firm.  It was during a WBDC class visit to the Free Library that Laryssa was informed about the business databases . After a short tutorial from a librarian, she was able to access hundreds of articles full of data, statistics and relevant information to help her build her business.  Most importantly, she could do all of the research from her office or home computer at whatever time best suited her.  With this newfound information Laryssa was able to start up $5 Fridays, a service that helps micro businesses and start-ups with their design and marketing.  It is one year later and $5 Fridays is thriving!
