The Governing Board of the District has called a special budget override election to be held on November 6, 2012 to request voter authorization to exceed the Maintenance and Operation Budget by 15% of the revenue control limit to fund existing programs.  The increase authorized by this election shall be funded from a levy of taxes on the taxable property within the District.  This is a continuation of the existing 5% and 10% budget override authorities, with an expansion of the 5% budget override as authorized by State law.
The funds raised support the needs of student's kindergarten through twelve as follows:

  • Lower student teacher ratios.
  • Provide opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of the arts, world languages, and participate in Athletic and Co-curricular Activities.
  • Allow Students to deepen their knowledge of academics by using technology as a learning tool.
  • Elective course opportunities that are interest based and aligned with 21st Century Standards.
