Parents who placed a Spirit Wear order by the August 20th deadline will be receiving their child's Spirit Wear the week of September 4th.

T-shirts will be distributed at school and sent to your child's classroom to be taken home in their backpacks.  The first Official Spirit Day is scheduled for Friday, September 7th. Be sure to have your child wear their Spirit Wear so that we can fill the campus with the spirit of DCES!

We are currently looking for one or two individuals to coordinate the Artist in Residence program for the 2012/13 school year.  

We are so excited about our 2012/13 Artist in Residence program!! Our artist this year is Carmen Guerrero.   Carmen is a musician, artist, teacher, and community arts advocate with over 20 years of experience.

Mrs. Knudsen's after school Super Duper Math Club
 

What is it?  It's a 5-week after-school class for 3rd and 4th graders who love math or want to do better at it. You'll learn new, challenging math through fun games and activities.

When:  Tuesdays 

9/4, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, & 10/9               

Time:  3:15-4:10

Where:  In Mrs. Knudsen's room at DCES, room 601

Who:  Any 3rd or 4th grader who wants to learn some  new and challenging math! 

Cost:  $60
