Public Terrapin Release

DATE: Saturday, September 22
TIME: 10 a.m.
LOCATION: The Wetlands Institute

Come one, come all!  As a special "thank you" for an unforgettable summer of coastal stewardship, The Wetlands Institute will host a spontaneous terrapin release this Saturday, September 22nd at 10 a.m.

During this event, we will release the rest of our 2012 stock of head starters (terrapins rescued from roadkilled females, incubated as eggs, and raised for one year).

Learn more about our native salt marsh turtle, the Institute's terrapin conservation programs, and the proper way to hold a terrapin.  Meet at the Institute and don't forget to bring your camera.

This will be the last terrapin release of the year, and everyone is invited, so don't miss it!
