Happy November 2009!!
I want you to have the most enjoyable Thanksgiving season you have ever celebrated.
Please feel free to share this information with others.
 Preparing for 2010
It is interesting that we all have a gift/skill - a piece of the puzzle - to be used in conjunction with another person's gift.  Do you know what your gift is?  Are you making a living through using your gift?
From Exodus 31:3-5 _ "I've filled him (Bezalel) with the Spirit of God, giving him skill and knowledge and expertise in every kind of craft to create designs and work in gold, silver, and bronze; to cut and set gemstones; to carve wood - he's an all around craftsman." [The Message Bible]  And Bezalel was given an assistant (Oholiab).  These 2 men designed and made ALL the furniture, tapestries and utensils for the first Tabernacle.
Something you do, that others find difficult:  repair, paint, type, make successful sales calls, handle paperwork, landscaping, mechanics, electrical, computer, and others  - that is 'your lane'!  When something is "out of your lane", partner with someone who can support you.
You are each like a puzzle piece with regard to your skills and 'natural inclinations'.  You should do your part and link with another and they link with another to accomplish the bigger picture.  You should not be burdened down trying to do it all.  Give others a chance to show and do, what they can do.
2010 - set specific goals that you want to do.  Your goals should be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timed.  3 to 4 major goals and one of those should be to relax and take time for yourself while you can.  Do day trips where you live (play tourist).  Go to the beach - listen to the ebb and flow of the waves.  Go to the mountains - take in the cooler temperatures, the flowers and the trees.  Go to a museum once a quarter.  Do a service activity to help others.  You should not be on the go 24/7!  If appliances can burnout, so will you.  How soon?
Set GOALS:  (Personal, Spiritual, Family[Marriage-Spouse-Children], Improvement {Home, Property and Car}, Work, Physical, and Recreational).  If you own your own business - Business-growth goals.  Write the vision upon tablets; make it clear -- Habakkuk 2:2-3 (paraphrased).  You write it down, it will happen.  Not always when you anticipate, but it will happen!!
Set boundaries.  "No." is a complete sentence.  When you are full -- you are full.  You should be able to enjoy your day and what you did.  You should not be so busy that you do not even know what you did and are exhausted!!  Let others have the opportunity to use their skills.
If you were retired, what activities would fill your day?  (Fishing, painting nature scenes, needlepoint, travel, sports, bingo, metal detecting, growing your own garden {flowers, vegetables}, weight-lifting....whatever).  You should be doing some of these activities NOW for you and your family's relaxation.
Happy Thanksgiving!  Happy Planning for 2010!!
