Carrier Products and Logo Receive an Update
Carrier recently made a change to their corporate logo, incorporating a green leaf after their "turn to the experts" tagline, reflecting their commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. Consistent with this theme Carrier has also increased the efficiency of many of their core products.
Due to the introduction of Carrier's new high efficiency furnace coils, Carrier can now increase the nominal efficiency ratings of many of their condensing units and heat pumps with no change in price.
The two documents below simplify the changes and provide a roadmap from current to future model numbers:
DCNE will be transitioning to these new products over the next month and we are currently working on revised price pages that reflect not only these changes, but also changes to some of the furnace and fan coil model numbers. The most important of those changes is that the 58MTB & 58MEB will be replaced by a 58MEC 2-Stage gas furnace at a more attractive price point.

Carrier Increases Warranty to 10-years on all Products
Effective January 1, 2010 Base Series condensing units and furnaces will carry a 10-year warranty, along with all copper fan coils and furnace coils.
All residential products still require homeowner registration within 90 days of installation for the 10-year warranty to be honored. Homeowners or dealers can register equipment at:

New Carrier University Website
In a fast-paced industry you need better tools to stay ahead of your competition, which is why Carrier has developed the new Carrier University website.
This Web site is the first of many positive changes that will enable Carrier dealers to benefit from training specifically geared toward the realistic, everyday issues and demands of the HVAC industry. Thanks to technological advances and widespread adoption of the Internet, traditional notions of education are changing on a global scale, and Carrier intends to capitalize fully on these phenomena in supporting its dealers as well.

Carrier Exits PTAC Market
Carrier recently announced that they will be exiting the Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning (PTAC) business, citing that PTACs are not consistent with their core product segment or their long-term strategic direction, and resources are better spent on converting core products to R-410A.
There is still limited stock available, but no additional products will be manufactured. DCNE continues to have access to GE Zoneline PTACS and will quote this product on request. However, stock will most likely ship out of GE's local warehouse and will not be available for pickup at DCNE.

Consumer Financing Regulation Changes
As a result of new government regulations, CitiFinancial will no longer be able to offer no pay/same as cash, reduced rate, or Energy Star promotional finance rates after December 31, 2009. In addition, there will be no funding for these credit plans after February 15, 2010, even if they previously issued an authorization for the transaction. None of these changes applies to the Regular Revolving credit plan.
Dealers will still be able to offer no-interest financing, but the consumer will be required to make minimum monthly payments and the minimum term is 6 months.
Complete details of the change can be viewed at:
The new regulations also require dealers to follow specific guidelines when advertising financing options to consumers. The following presentation covers those guidelines in detail:
