Saturday, June 2 is Tahoe Bike Day (always the first Saturday in June)
To kick off the bicycling season is Tahoe Bike Day. There are no planned activities this year, but plans for the 2013 Tahoe Bike Day Festival are in the works. Stay tuned and get ready!
Sunday, June 3 is America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride
Thousands of visitors from around the U.S. will be here for this annual event. You will be seeing a lot of cyclists on the road getting acclimated to the altitude and learning about our community. On Sunday, they will be riding around the Lake and for some of them this will be their first big distance ride. Please be patience with them and extend a wholehearted Tahoe welcome.
Monday June 4 to Friday June 15 is the Tahoe Bike Challenge
The 7th annual Tahoe Bike Challenge is promoting bicycling as an alternative transportation choice over the automobile. This is not a competition but rather an invitation to join hundreds of Tahoe bicyclists in riding your bike to work, school or play. The Challenge can be a personal one in which riding a bike for the very first time is your challenge or it can be a team effort to see how many trips made and miles accumulated during the event. You define your own Challenge and have fun doing it.
