News From The
Elizabeth Tolley Studio

January 2010
2009 is over and what a year it was.... one of the high points of the year being our daughter's wedding. Witnessing Meghan's marriage to her soul mate was one of the happiest moments of my life.

Another special part of my life is all of you. Thank you for your notes about my paintings, the invitations to paint, exhibit or teach. I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know you through my paintings, teaching, paint-outs, exhibits and other venues.

Looking Forward:

We have set the calendar for the year and our workshops are posted. It looks to be a busy year... one filled with lots of painting both on location and in the studio.

This year I have committed to painting for a one person exhibit at the Vault Gallery, four invitational exhibitions, and the annual California Art Club's Gold Medal Exhibition.

In May, and again in July, I will break away from my painting schedule to teach week-long landscape painting workshops.

My 2010 schedule will allow me two days a week in my public studio in Studios on the Park, Paso Robles, when I am not on the road painting. Most weeks I will be in the studio/gallery on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 7 PM. If you would like to make sure I will be there, or make an appointment to meet me at the studio, you are welcome to call 805-441-7713. On Thursdays and Sundays a studio associate will work in my studio. They would be glad to show you my work or explain my painting process.

I look forward to seeing you at one of the venues this year.

With best wishes,
Libby

Currently in the second edition, Libby's book continues to be well received by artists. We hear from beginning to professional artists on how they are benefiting from the book. Some artists are using it as a tool in their teaching and others are following the instruction themselves.

The book is available on line at www.elizabethtolley.com, amazon.com, North Light Book Club and more!

Landscape painters have a common bond no matter where we call home. Letters have come from Australia, Canada, Europe, India, Mexico, South Africa as well as the USA.
