OFA Survey On A Roll
OFAThank you to everyone who has entered their Newfs in the NCA/OFA Health Survey so far! It is a huge testament to the devotion that Newf owners have to this very special breed that in a few short months we are very close to our first statistical milestone of having a survey sample that represents 5% of all Newfoundlands alive during the survey period - being the 45th most popular breed and having the 3rd best survey compliance is an awesome accomplishment! Keep spreading the word to your fellow Newf owners! Take the Survey today and !

NCA Charities pairs with Regional Clubs to boost funds
nhc logoWhen the Newfoundland Club of America (NCA) Newfoundland Health Challenge (NHC) was launched in 1996,  Regional Clubs were identified as one of the primary sources of fundraising. Some Regional Clubs have worked hard ever since to support the program. The NCA Charitable Trust would love to see 100% participation and is initiating a new program to stimulate the active involvement of all Regional Clubs by asking each club to devote one project or activity a year to the fundraising efforts to support the Charitable Trust Health Challenge and/or Rescue initiatives. Check with your Regional Club and see how you can get involved in grass-roots fundraising for NCA Charities to help us ensure a safe and healthy future for every Newfoundland.
Cardiac Screening in Carlisle
This year our heart clinic will be held Thursday, May 3 and Friday, May 4.  Our Board certified cardiologist is Dr. Megan King, DVM, Diplomate  ACVIM.  She will do both auscultations ($40) and echo-dopplers ($90).  We recommend pre-registration to guarantee an appointment.  Walk-ins allowed as time permits. Registrations will be opened up to all breeds  after April 15, so make your registrations early.  Clinic hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Contact Pam Rubio to pre-register for appointments.
