Comfortex and VPSI Choose Eiler Communications

Two new clients were recently added to Eiler's roster: Comfortex, a Minneapolis-based hospital equipment manufacturer and VPSI, Inc., the nation's leading vanpool services provider, headquartered in Troy, Mich.

"Eiler is implementing full-service public relations plans for Comfortex and VPSI," said firm Chairman Larry Eiler. "We are excited to welcome two companies with national and international industry prominence."

Comfortex manufactures mattresses, stretcher cushions and, most recently, the Landing Strip bedside floor mat, that help hospitals and long-term care facilities optimize patient comfort and safety. Comfortex serves many national health systems and care facilities, including the Mayo Clinic.

VPSI is the nation's leading provider of vanpool services, operating in 40 major U.S. and European cities. VPSI serves industries, individuals and Fortune 500 companies around the world by providing vehicles, insurance and maintenance costs for commuters who share common destination points. VPSI also helps individuals join existing vanpool routes through its Web site. The environmentally friendly transportation option saves time and money.

Maize and Blue Interns Join Eiler

Two University of Michigan students and one recent graduate have joined the Eiler team as interns. During their internships they will build their PR skills by assisting the Eiler team with research, writing and media relations activities.

"We're pleased with the talented, sharp students our internship program continues to attract," said Eiler President Sandy Eiler. "These young ladies bring new ideas and eager attitudes to the firm, and they're quickly learning PR fundamentals that will help them in their future careers."

Emma Frane is a junior at the University of Michigan pursuing a degree in English. JoAnn Lefere, a senior, will graduate in May with a degree communication studies. Sarah Johnson graduated in December 2007 with a psychology/pre-dental degree and recently decided to pursue a career in the communications field.
