WHO: JESSARAE - the talented 14-year old singer/songwriter will make a special guest appearance and will perform a never-before-released song "Without You (It'll Be All Right)" inspired and written especially for Courtney Sheinmel's latest "tween" novel, POSITIVELY, along with other originals from his recently released debut EP, Damaged Heart, (currently available on iTunes!). Presently, JESSARAE is working on his debut full-length CD, which will be released in the coming year by Raystone Records. Fans can get the latest up-to-date news and also check out his weekly live performance series where he performs a different song each week on his website at www.jessarae.com.
WHAT: Author Courtney Sheinmel will be reading and signing copies of her latest "tween" novel, POSITIVELY. Praised by Publishers Weekly as "wrenchingly authentic and quietly powerful," POSITIVELY tells the poignant and, ultimately, hopeful story of thirteen-year-old Emerson Price, who is reeling from her mother's death from AIDS and struggling to cope with her own HIV-positive status. Author Wendy Mass says, "This could be the most important book you read all year." A portion of the proceeds from book sales will be donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. You can visit Courtney online at www.courtneysheinmel.com.
WHEN: Thursday, December 3, 2009 7:00pm
