M. Peter Moser

M. Peter Moser passed away on October 17, 2008.
He was an outstanding lawyer and a leader in the field of legal ethics.
In 2005, Peter and his wife, Liz, created the ABF Liz and Peter Moser Research Fund in Legal Ethics, Professional Responsibility and Access to Legal Services.
Peter's contributions to the profession will be remembered for years to come. And through his generosity, the Foundation will proudly continue studying those areas to which Peter donated so much of his time and talent.

American Bar Foundation Research Professor Austan Goolsbee
has been tapped by President-elect Barack Obama to become
Staff Director and Chief Economist on the newly created
Economic Recovery Advisory Board, and will also assume a
position on the Council of Economic Advisors.

2008 Summer Research Diversity Fellows
Center on Law and Globalization

The Center on Law and Globalization launched its dynamic
new website, www.lexglobal.org, in early September.
The website features the Center's inaugural Smart Library
that introduces readers to key topics in law and globalization, including Perspectives on Law and Globalization; Sites and Types of Global Law Making; and The Global Spread of Law.
Keep in touch with law in a global world through news, stories,
reports on activities by Center Directors, the latest
research papers by Center scholars, and much more.

The Center on Law and Globalization is a joint project of
the ABF and the University of Illinois College of Law.
The achievements of the Center are highlighted in its
2007-2008 Annual Report.
