Annual Fall Reception

 
The Real Estate Center hosted the Annual Fall Reception on September 8, 2009 to celebrate the beginning of the new academic year with sponsors,students, faculty, staff, alumni and industry professionals.  With more than 120 attendees, this year's event
marked the largest reception since the innaugural 2003 event.

2009 Fall Scholarship Recipients 
 
Each year, The Real Estate Center awards a number of scholarships to graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in the real estate program.  In recent weeks, the scholarship commitee, consisting of sponsors and faculty, reviewed the personal statements, transcripts and resumes of each applicant and made the very difficult decision of selecting the recipients.  Dr. Susanne Cannon, director of The Real Estate Center and Chairman of the Department of Real Estate, announced the recipients at the Fall Reception.  Congratulations to the following scholarship winners:

Commercial Real Estate Valuation
Real estate appraisals are the benchmark for commercial DeVriesRontransactions. You will not only learn about the valuation methods used in every appraisal, but also understand how to apply them by working through calculations and examples in class.
