Managing Risk in Sustainable Building: Policy, Performance & Pitfalls

In the rush to build green, owners, developers, contractors and design professionals are taking on new risks--often unknowingly.  Many don't understand that sustainable building involves more than achieving ratings.

This two-day conference, co-sponsored by The Real Estate Center and the Alberti Group, will bring risk into the sustainable building equation:
  • What happens if anticipated "green" benefits fail to meet expectations?
  • Who bears the risk of failure as the project moves from concept through design and to completion?
  • How can sustainability move from this year's hot trend toward becoming standard practice if risk is not brought into the equation?
The conference will provide an objective context for professionals, managers and business owners to make better-informed decisions in this fast-moving area.
