| DePaul Student Real Estate Organization Tours Sears Tower |
|
DePaul's student Real Estate Organization held its first event of the 2007/08 academic year with a site visit to the Sears Tower. Students were given a behind the scenes tour by management which included viewing the building's commercial and retail space as well as the amenities available to their tenants. The highlight of the site visit was gaining access to the roof on the 90th floor where students experienced first hand the sheer height of the building. The tour concluded with a question and answer session with the management team: Jessica Linford, Assistant Property Manager; Tom Keaty, Director of Operations and Tom Dempsey, General Manager.

| Dress for the Job You Want |
Noelle Cellini (left), personal stylist, spoke with students about the importance of a first impression--it takes 7 seconds to make a first impression and can take up to 5 years to change a negative first impression. To help students start off
on the right foot, Cellini brought in models to show the difference between appropriate and inappropriate attire for the office for both men and women. In addition, she left male and female students with a list of core wardrobe items to ensure that they have the basic elements as they begin building a professional wardrobe. Most importantly, Cellini emphasized that individuals should dress for the job they want--not the job they have. |
