| Collegiate Real Estate Conference a Success |
The Real Estate Center strives to connect students with industry professionals on a regular basis. The Collegiate Real Estate Conference, held on April 27th, is a prime example. This year, more than 130 students representing DePaul University, Indiana University, John Marshall Law School, University of Chicago, University of Cincinnati and University of Illinois attended the annual conference to learn about career paths and opportunities that exist in the real estate industry.
Students enjoy lunch with Ron DeVries, Vice President of Appraisal Research Counselors.
This year's panels included: Brokerage, Development, Financial Services, Property/Asset Management, Valuation & Consulting, Corporate Real Estate and REIT's. Students had the opportunity to attend 3 of these sessions based on their areas of interest. Panelists talked about their own experiences working in the industry as well as the path that led them to their current positions.
The conference closed with a networking reception so students had the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the panelists.
Thank you to all who participated. |
