Registration deadline drawing near!  Peace Ranch Campwill be held July 13-16.  Luther Park Camp Counselors will help us rustle up a bunch of fun! Join us for crafts and games, Bible study and camp songs!  More information and registration forms are available at the Information Center, in the office and at the web site www.peaceofplymouth.org .  Invite your friends to join us for this week of awesome fun at Vacation Bible School!

Lend a Hand to Ranch Camp  We are looking for middle school and high school youth to be "Ranch Hands" during the week.  They assist with all parts of the program.  In addition, the congregation is asked to consider the following ways to contribute:

host a Luther Park staff member, help plan and serve the Thursday 'Round-Up' meal, be the adult on duty, assist in the art room, provide a meal on Monday for the Luther Park staff, help set up and decorate the fellowship hall (Saturday), donate a snack, and help in the kitchen serving the snacks.

Please sign up on the Youth and Family Bulletin Board if you are able to help.

VBS Ranch Camp postcards are available for sharing!  Please take as many as you would like and give them to your relatives, friends, neighbors and co-workers.  This is low risk, high reward Evangelism!

Attend Minnesota's largest Rodeo!  The Peace OWLS invite youto attend Family Day atthe Hamel Rodeo with them on Saturday, July 11, at 1:00 p.m.  Bring your family, grandkids, a neighbor or your favorite cowboy!  Everyone is welcome.  Those who wish to carpool for rides, meet at the church at 12 noon.  There are no reserved seats so early arrival is important.

Following the rodeo we will return to the church for a Potluck Tailgate Party under the Oak tree.  Bring a lawn chair and a dish to share.  Drinks will be provided.  Sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex.  If you have questions, please feel free to call Clarence Splettstoeszer at (763) 478-6090, or Arne/ Kathie Kolbjornsen at (763) 551-5997.

Daily Devotional booklets are available for July, August and September of 2009.  Our resources include The Word in Season and Christ in Our Home (large print copies available).  .

Metro Lutheran has arrived!  Bread of Life Lutheran Church for the Deaf is the only free-standing Deaf ELCA Lutheran congregation in the country.  BOLD, as members call the congregation is revitalizing its ministry to and with the more than 40,000 Deaf Minnesotans.  Read the story in the July issue.  Copies are available at the Information Center.

The World Servants Experience... interested in short-term mission trips?  Another meeting will be held to discuss trips to the Dominican Republic in 2010, with the World Servants Organization.  The next meeting will be July 12, at 7:00 p.m. at Maple Grove Covenant Church, 9350 Upland Ave in Maple Grove.  For more information, please contact Midge Shaw.

A note of precaution:

Since the H1N1 pandemic has been officially declared, we are taking a few precautions at worship.  At Holy Communion, servers are taking care to clean their hands with sanitizer.  But if you have added concerns, it is permissible to receive the wine only (served in individual glasses).

For awhile we have set aside the 'Sharing of the Peace' during the liturgy.  And, the Pastors will not be offended if you do not shake their hand after worship.  A kind nod and greeting is quite acceptable.  We pray that this pandemic will not be severe and will pass quickly.
