Peace Ranch Camp will be held July 13-16 this year.  Luther Park Camp Counselors will help us rustle up a bunch of fun! Join us for crafts and games, Bible study and camp songs!  More information and registration forms are available at the Information Center, in the office and at the web site www.peaceofplymouth.org .  Invite your friends to join us for this week of awesome fun at Vacation Bible School!

Lend a Hand to Ranch Camp  We are looking for middle school and high school youth to be "Ranch Hands" during the week.  They assist with all parts of the program.  In addition, the congregation is asked to consider the following ways to contribute:

host a Luther Park staff member, help plan and serve the Thursday 'Round-Up' meal, be the adult on duty, assist in the art room, help with registration Monday morning, provide an evening meal for the Luther Park staff, help set up and decorate the fellowship hall (Saturday), help with our pre-school, donate a snack, kitchen help serving the snacks.

Please sign up on the Youth and Family Bulletin Board if you are able to help.

VBS Ranch Camp postcards are available for sharing!  Please take as many as you would like and give them to your relatives, friends, neighbors and co-workers.  This is low risk, high reward Evangelism!

Peace OWLS invite you to attend Family Day at the Hamel Rodeo with them on Saturday, July 11 at 1:00 p.m.  Bring your family, grandkids, a neighbor or your favorite cowboy!  Everyone is welcome.  Those who wish to carpool for rides, meet at the church at 12 noon.  There are no reserved seats so early arrival is important.

Following the rodeo we will return to the church for a Potluck Tailgate Party under the Oak tree.  Bring a lawn chair and a dish to share.  Drinks will be provided.  Sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex.  If you have questions, please feel free to call Clarence Splettstoeszer at (763) 478-6090, or Arne/ Kathie Kolbjornsen at (763) 551-5997.

Altar Flowers today are given in memory of her husband Frank, by Anne Weir.

When Lutherans see that times are tough, they respond in creative ways.  This month's Metro Lutheran includes many stories about groups responding to social needs.  But it also highlights the Association of Development Executives, a group that raises money to ensure that these needs are met over long term.  Pick up a copy at the Information Center.

The state of Minnesota predicts that Low-Income Home Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) grant money will be available for customers through July 2.  Applications will be accepted until the close of business on July 2, 2009.  Please visit CenterPointEnergy.com/paybill to learn more.

The World Servants Experience... interested in short-term mission trips?  Another meeting will be held to discuss trips to the Dominican Republic in 2010, with the World Servants Organization.  The next meeting will be July 12, at 7:00 p.m. at Maple Grove Covenant Church, 9350 Upland Ave in Maple Grove.  For more information, please contact Midge Shaw.
