Volunteers needed for Nursery Spring Cleaning-- Please join us for some good clean fun!  Monday, 4/20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.  We will be sanitizing the toys with mild bleach water as well as sorting and organizing the toys.  What to bring:  Old towels/rags, plastic wash tubs for sanitizing toys, and rubber gloves.  Wear clothes that you are comfortable wearing around bleach solution!  Please contact Cheryl Taylor or Natalie Nantke if you can lend a hand.

Please say you'll help:  An online Care Calendar has been set up to simplify the support process for the Heiderscheit's.  It lists meals and other needs as they arise.  You can access the calendar at www.carecalendar.org/logon/13781.  You will need to provide the security code (7876). If you have questions, contact Janna McFarlane.

High School Youth on April 25 and 26:  Help pick up furniture for the Rummage Sale.  It will be Saturday from 9 - 4 and Sunday 1 - 5 p.m.  See Roger Birnbaum if you will help.

Middle School Outing at Medina Lanes-We're planning to go bowling on Sun., April 26.  Meet at Peace; we'll leave at 12:50 pm.  We will bowl from 1 to 3 pm.  The cost is $12.00.

The ELCA Sexuality statements have been published and will be considered by the Synod Assembly in May and the National ELCA Assembly in August.  You may read and download the statements at www.elca.org/faithfuljourney.  Several forums are available for information and discussion.  Pastor Sedlins will present a survey of the documents after worship in Sunday, May 17.  WordAlone and CORE provide monthly forums.  The next one is April 23, 7 PM, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Golden Valley.  More information at www.tcwordalone.org

The carpet for the Narthex area has been ordered and we are expecting a mid-May install-lation. Entryway carpet has also been ordered and we are waiting for an arrival date on that.

Looking Ahead:  The 6th Annual Wild Game Fiesta, for men and boys, is scheduled for Saturday, May 9.  It will be at the home of Troy and Jeannice Reding.  The sign up sheets will be available at church next week.

Messiah United Methodist Church is sponsoring a garage sale, April 22 - 24, for Kids' Care Connection (KCC).  KCC is a facility that provides low income families with high quality care and early childhood education for infants and pre-school children. Messiah Methodist Church is located 17805 County Road 6 in Plymouth.

The Annual Peace Rummage & Bake Sale is just around the corner, April 30 - May 2.  Don't miss the opportunity to contribute to an event that donates all net proceeds to local charities.

There are many ways to help make this year another success: volunteer your time, make something delicious for the bake sale, donate items for the sale, invite friends and family to the sale, and shop, shop, shop!

Items may be dropped off beginning Saturday April 25th in the NE corner of the Fellowship Hall.  If you have large items that need to be picked up at your home, we will again be offering a pick-up service on Saturday and Sunday (April 25th and 26th).

We will not be accepting TV's, VCR's, computers, printers or copiers this year and no adult clothing or Christmas decorations please! See the Information Center for donation item pick-up forms as well as informational flyers to share with your friends and neighbors. See Deb Weir, Evonne Carlson, Pam Jette, or Jean Sorenson with questions.
