MAKE IT A HOLY WEEK!

There is nothing more important you can do during Holy Week than worship. "Holy" means to be "set apart." We set apart special times to reenact the events that brought us our salvation:  the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  From Palm Sunday to Easter there are six opportunities for worship.

PALM SUNDAY:  April 5, 8:30 and 10:45 AM
Join the crowds as Jesus enters Jerusalem.  Wave palm branches and sing "Hosanna!" with those who welcome him.  The Passion begins with a hero's welcome.

MAUNDY THURSDAY:  April 9, 7 PM
Join the disciples as they share a quiet moment with Jesus before the storm, in the breaking of bread at the Last Supper.

GOOD FRIDAY:  April 10, 7 PM
Stand at the foot of the cross to witness Jesus' crucifixion.  A service of shadows will feature "symbols of the passion" with meditations, hymns, and choir anthems.

EASTER SUNDAY:  April 12, 8:30 and 10:45 AM
Join the women at the empty tomb and raise the shout of victory:  "He is risen!  He is risen, indeed!"  Hear the Good News and sing the great hymns of the Resurrection! for Christ has won the victory over sin and death and all the powers of darkness.

Sunday!  Come to the Easter Fair! On Sunday, April 5, during the Sunday School hour, join us for music, a children's message, and a craft project as we celebrate the real meaning of Easter.  We'll have an egg hunt and other games, too. Come, and join the fun!

No Peace-Full Night activities this week on Wednesday, April 8.  However, our Adult Bell choir will rehearse together at 6:00 p.m. The Handbell trio will rehearse following the handbell choir rehearsal.

Our Holy Week worship includes services on Maundy Thursday (4/9) and Good Friday (4/10), both at 7:00 p.m.  On Easter Sunday, worship will be held at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m.

Join us Easter morning as we serve you a delicious breakfast.  Our brunch style buffet will be held from 9 - 10:30 a.m.  This meal is once again a fundraiser for our high school youth who attend the mission trip in June.

Purchase tickets today!  Tickets for the Easter breakfast are available following both services today. Prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 years and under. On the menu: scrambled eggs, hash browns, smoked bacon, carved ham and sweet rolls.  We'll have a pancake and waffle station. Along with fresh fruit and juice, milk and coffee will be served.

Church office will be closed on Friday. Bulletin announcement deadline is Tuesday at noon.

Plant Sale and Annual Fundraiser-the deadline has been extended to Thursday, April 8.  Order your annual plants, tomatoes, perennials and more from Gregor Farm and Garden. Gift cards are also available.  Order forms are available online at www.peaceofplymouth.org.

Support for Pastor Jeff and Annie:  An online Care Calendar has been set up to simplify the support process for the Heiderscheit's.  It lists meals, transportation and other needs as they arise.  You can also send your thoughts and prayers to Pastor Jeff and the family at this site.  You can access the calendar at www.carecalendar.org/logon/13781.  You will need to provide the calendar ID (13781) and security code (7876). Questions, contact Janna McFarlane.

The OWLS are attending the Luther College Choir concert Sunday, April 19.  The concert will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis at 3:30 p.m.  Please sign up and let us know you're planning to attend.  Meet at 2:45 p.m. to carpool.  Drivers are needed.

Altar Flowers are given in honor of Bobby's golden birthday April 10, by Inger Trooien.

Thanks to those of you who donated to the Minnesota Foodshare campaign during the month of March.  Along with financial donations, we collected over 1,000 pounds of food.

Start saving your items to donate to the Rummage Sale at the end of April.  We will not be accepting adult clothing this year, but will accept children's clothes up to size 12.

Daily devotional materials for April, May and June are available at the Information Center.

From Luther Park Camping and Retreat Center:  the 13th Annual Ole and Lena Spaghetti Dinner, show and silent auction are set for Saturday, April 18, 5 p.m. The music and humor of LeRoy Larson and the Minnesota Scandinavian Ensemble of Prairie Home Companion fame, will be back by popular demand. All proceeds from this FUNdraiser benefit Luther Park camp scholarships. Talk to Norm Okerstrom for more information or for tickets to this event.
