Our Lenten journey begins with worship on Ash Wednesday, February 25, 7:00 p.m.  We kneel and receive the mark of ash as a sign of repentance.  Join us as we begin this season of penitence and renewal.

Next week at Adult Forum:  Join a conversation on WordAlone Network.  Joining us is Pastor Scott Grorud, member of the WordAlone Board.

Daytime Lenten Worship-- As it may be more convenient for people to worship during daylight hours, morning Lenten worship will be offered for the first time this year.  Services will be held Wednesdays 10:30 to 11:00 am, following the same themes as in the evening.
A time of coffee fellowship will follow the worship service.  Come, and bring a friend!

Adult Forum Recording: If you missed the February 15 Adult Forum on WordAlone, you can pick up a copy of the recording in the church office.

Start collecting your items to donate to the 2009 Peace Lutheran Rummage Sale!  The sale will be held the last week of April into May.  Donations will be received in late April.

Register for Peace at Prayer:  the Centered Life committee is updating the registration form. A sign up sheet will be available through March 8 if you are interested in subscribing.

Dependable Strengths ® Training Centered Life is sponsoring a seminar on March 13-14.  This workshop called 'Discover Your Call' uses a process so you can learn more about yourself and to help others identify their core abilities, talents and skills.  More information is available at the table in the narthex or contact Mike Mostrom (952) 474-6987. Register by March 8.

Sign up for the Sunday, March 22 blood drive after services or call Pam Jette at 612-986-5898.

Women's Conference: Northwestern College in St. Paul is sponsoring a faith-filled conference for women on March 6 & 7.  The cost is $50 for one day, $85 for both days. What a great opportunity for women of Peace to come together for fellowship and restoration!  Look for information and sign-up in the Narthex.

Operation Bootstrap Africa is in great need of sponsorships at the MaaSae Girls' Lutheran Secondary School in Monduli, Tanzania.  Peace Lutheran has been a part of this mission for years and has seen first hand the fruition of our labors.  This year fifty-nine young women are hoping to attend MGLSS, and they all need sponsors or they will be sent home.  Tuition, fees, board, room, uniform and other necessities is $800 per year per student.  Or, there are other ways to help.  Contact Grace Tauring at (952) 544-5108 for more information. Asante Sana!
