Sunday! Annual Meeting of the Congregation! Our meeting starts at 9:35 a.m. Copies of the Annual Report may be picked up at the Information Center. Pick up a cup of coffee and gather in the sanctuary.
Sunday School students will meet in the Fellowship Hall for a special event at 9:35 this morning. Our Sunday school teachers are invited to attend the Annual Meeting today.
The Quilting group will meet this week on Tuesday, from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to join this dedicated group for a morning of quilt tying and treats, of course!
You are welcome to join the Wednesday night Bible Study on the Gospel of Mark at 6:30 PM. The study includes daily readings and devotions on the entire Gospel and we have more books available. Weekly discussion takes place around tables in the Fireside Room. The study is led by Pastor Sedlins.
Next week at Adult Forum: Joel Legred, Director of Luther Park Bible Camp, is our guest speaker. If you would like to know more about the ministry of Luther Park, join us in the Fellowship Hall at 9:35 a.m.
Please bring your loose change on Super Bowl Sunday (February 1) for a Souper Bowl Sunday collection. Our high school students will be standing at the exits of the sanctuary collecting. All money will be donated to Feed My Starving Children. Souper Bowl Sunday is a national youth event that collects money for Hunger issues in our world. Last year, this event raised more that $12 million for hunger. Watch for the students holding large soup pots and kettles.

Daily Devotional booklets are available for January, February and March of 2009. Our resources include The Word in Season and Christ in Our Home (large print copies available). Davey and Goliath's Devotions for families on the go! are still available at the Information Center. Each week has four pages of fun-filled Bible-based activities. The Hamel Lions Club is having a Pancake Breakfast and the sixth annual Freeze Your Buns Run on February 1, 2009. All proceeds go to the Donnie DesLauriers Scholarship Fund. Registration forms can be picked up on the Community bulletin board in the hallway, or visit www.hamellions.org for more information. |
